SANGANER
Location – 16 km on Tonk Road.
Near the airport, this town has many attractions of age. Besides the palace in ruins, broken walls, triple gateway and a neglected Mughal garden has beautiful Jain temples and important craft.
The large and small units of block and screen printers produce some of the finest hand printed textiles in the country admired everywhere. Paper and potters become many types of blue pottery Jaipur.
BAGRU
Location: 35 km south-west on Ajmer road
The strong level the soil is still in good shape, but the main attraction of this small textile town of Rajput is hand printed. The designs are simpler here, technique less complicated and more earthy color tones.
Samode
Location: 40km north-west
The old palace renovated and the result of a very elegant way in the 19th century offers the most sumptuously decorated and painted examples of Rajput haveli architecture.
First Set amidst tranquil hills of protection, which provides an ideal place for a picnic. The dream small town has its own cloth printers, bracelet makers and other artisans. The palace is now a heritage hotel.
BAIRATH
Location: 86 km in the Shahpur – Alwar road.
The Anicent Viratnagar site of great antiquity, containing the relics and structures of Mauryan, Mughal and Rajputs periods.
The excavated remains of a circular Buddhist temple, the only of its kind in the country, two 3rd century BC to the edicts of the rock Maurya king Asoka the Great, only in Rajasthan, make it an important historical site.
In times of Mughal, Akbar the Great built a mint and his son Jahangir a beautiful Mughal garden and with chatris remarkable monuments and the walls painted. The temples and monuments of more recent periods are also seen here.
Sambhar
Location: 94 km west of Jaipur
Sambhar, famous for the lake's largest inland salt, is a city old. It was the first capital of the Chauhan dystany called Sakambhari, since it was founded near the temple of the goddess Sakambhari, famous for its Holy Deveyani tank, the palace gave sculptures and terracottas from the 3rd century.
TONK
Location: 96 kms from Jaipur, Tonk District, Rajasthan
TonkTonk Jaipur is a small village, situated at a distance of 96 kilometers from Jaipur. This little town of Tonk is also known as the "Lucknow Rajasthan "because of its elegance. Tonk is popular with tourists for its magnificent mosques, mansions and havelis.
In ancient times, was ruled Tonk by tribes of 'Pathans' from Afghanistan. The old town has the architecture prevalent in the Mughal era. The high point of Tonk is the Sunehri Kothi, the mansion gold.
