11 months to change puppy dog food?
I buy Iams for my dog 11 months old, but it (obviously) about to turn one year of age. Is there any advice about changing the puppy dog foods? Or is that not really a problem? Is it necessary to mix one part of year + food for dogs with food to get your puppy used to it? Should I keep giving him the puppy food beyond 12 months? Information etc. additional – She's a lab mix, weighs about 35 pounds and looks like he stopped growing. Thank you!
Yes, putting the food new slowly. Even if they are similar, a sudden change could lead to her having a stomach upset, which would be sad for everyone. Once she is more one year old, she should be well on adult food, but not giving the best you can afford – it's worth. Watch your weight. Sounds good so far, but laboratories are the trash cans, and weight can start to rise soon. A good diet and plenty of exercise and should be fine. Enjoy!
